Mark Thomas - Crew Leader

Crew leader Mark Thomas worked over 40 years in the food industry, including 31 years as a food service worker at UW Madison. After retiring, he volunteered with the Dane County Pantry Brigade, on a project that delivered free fresh vegetables to children during their summer break from school. Mark's experience working in kitchens comes in handy when we develop practices to handle food in a safe, efficient manner. In his off time, he gets out to the Wisconsin River at every opportunity and likes hiking and camping out west. Mark was a union activist during his time as a state employee and currently volunteers with the Labor and Industry Committee of the NAACP.
